Via ferrata climbs for beginners in Andermatt
Educational Course: climbing rocky routes safely (CH) | 2 days
Via ferrata routes are exciting. Vertical rock faces can be tackled without too much effort. Andermatt is the perfect place for this fundamentals course and for you to learn a thorough understanding of via ferratas.

After this course, you will have the basic skills to tackle easy via ferrata routes on your own or participate in a more advanced course.
No prior knowledge required. Participants must not be afraid of heights or suffer from vertigo.
Safety: fully secured route with steel cables, iron rungs, bars and ladders.
Terrain: brief exposed vertical sections (K1-2)
Duration from 2 to 5 hours, up to approx. 700 vertical meters, approx. 250 vertical meters per hour.

The offer is held in German. Therefore, a basic understanding of German is important. Our mountain guides have a basic knowledge of English and can provide the necessary information in English. Often there are helpful guests on the tours and courses who are happy to help with the translation.

Day 1 After the participants have met up and collected their rental gear, the guide will go over the course schedule. And then it’s time to head straight out to conquer your first via ferrata. Here, the guide will teach the basic skills and cover the main aspects of via ferrata climbing.
Day 2 You have another challenging day ahead of you and an opportunity to put your new skills to the test. The Via Ferrata Diavolo in Andermatt is just the place.
Our mountain guide will bring the ordered rental equipment to the meeting place. The following equipment can be rented.
