Assessing the avalanche situation remains difficult, despite consulting all available sources of information. To make sure you are prepared for any eventuality, this training covers all possible scenarios you might encounter in an emergency situation. Practical exercises will help you consolidate your knowledge and build on your experience to make sure you are prepared at all times for any extreme situation.

Day 1 Welcome and distribution of rental equipment at the MAMMUT Store in Andermatt. Even as the group makes its way up from Realp to the Tiefenbach Hotel, we will be analyzing the avalanche situation and starting the first exercises. In the evening, we will plan the tour for the following day. (Distance: 4.5 km. Hiking time: 2 hours. Ascent: 600 vertical meters).
Day 2-3 The terrain around the Tiefenbach Hotel offers countless opportunities for practical exercises. We will take a closer look at the structure of the snow pack and run through various scenarios. (Distance: 5-7 km; Hiking time: 4-6 hours; Ascent: 1,000 vertical meters).
Our mountain guide will bring the ordered rental equipment to the meeting place. The following equipment can be rented:
